Can be used or new, modern or classic. No budget limit.
But, cannot combine 2 across different generations.
Can combine mainstream brand and luxury brand- but they have to be both based on the same car, same platform is not enough. You can’t do Mazda 3 and Cx-5 but you can do S60 and V60
Can combine local and international variants
Can combine variants of the vehicle if they are sold under a different name but are essential same brand- e.g. Chevy Holden Opel
Can be 2 of the same car if you want.
I’ll go with a very obvious choice. Current 3 series F31 328D xDrive M sport package Wagon for a daily driver and F84 M4 GTS coupe for the weekend

2 OF THESE

LS-swapped Roadmaster Wagon and that ‘95 El Camino concept truck (built by GM using a Roadmaster wagon).

One to cannibalize for parts when the other inevitably grenades itself eh?
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:03 |

Golf Alltrack and R, duh. I’m too lazy to research any other options.
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:04 |

Very good choices actually. I would also say Impreza hatchback and STI
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:04 |

Well I just won’t drive either more than 50,000 miles and I should be fine. That'll give me like 4 full years of driving.
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:06 |

Why not just 2 STii?

Skoda Octavia vRS 245, manual 2.0TSi 242bhp.
Skoda Octavia Scout, manual 2.0 TDi 148bhp.

2 identical Mk3 Golf GLs, same year, OBDII (so 1996+). One to be driven, one for parts. Or both for parts for the Golf I already have that’s parked outside where it belongs.

One giant wing is one too many. Plus trying to mix things up.

Not bad. I’m curious if there were Japanese 80s options I could’ve chosen. Corolla F x and station wagon? But I’m not going to cross check dates of manufacture. :)
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:10 |

You can option no wing! And a regular Imprezza will make you sad.

Yes, I’ll take an Evo IX MR and an Evo IX wagon.
Daily the wagon, practicality of a right hand drive car in the US will be ignored.
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:18 |

Any RWD Commodore Sportwagen + the equivalent Ute, both in the performance trim. You can pick any gen you want.

Forester is Impreza platform - would that count? (Say, WRX and and Forester xt or something.)
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:21 |

Hmmm,
or
SEAT Leon SC Cupra 300, manual 2.0TSi 296bhp.
SEAT Leon FR Technology, manual 1.4TSi 123bhp
To be honest on this side of the pond there are just too many like the Ford Focus’, Vauxhall Astras, Renaults, Citroens, etc...

I’m going slightly practical, cause that’s what you get when you hit 50, but I think I’d go with a couple of older Subaru’s.
A 2005 Legacy GT for me.
And an ‘05 Outback for the Mrs.
I’ve always liked the looks of these, far better than what’s out at the moment.

Wish they sold Skoda in the US. I really like the vRS Estate, in green
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:23 |

Manual NISMO RS.
and a manual non-nismo Juke,
![]() 10/03/2018 at 23:23 |

No, doesn’t count. Has to be variants of the same vehicle, not underpinnings.

Ye’, it’s a great car.
Great for putting your foot down, great daily driver and practi cal in that they are liftback or estate.

I thought you could get them with the wing? Clip that sweet angels wings baby.

E36 diesel wagon and an M coupe shoe
The E120 Corolla RunX with the 2ZZ and a diesel Corolla
Verso

ok, I’ll take a Levorg and an STI then. Levorg in silver and the STI in Red I think.

I would say 3 series because duh, but I could also get a Caddy to match me Cabriolet
I could handle having a mini truck for daily duty and a vert for sunny Days.

i’m halfway there!
my e39 touring in topaz

I got it.
95 Camry Coupe and 95 Camry Wagon. Already half way there, so that helps, haha

Would you believe that that’s against the rules? The utes had a different chassis bolted on from the B pillar back. Unless you go right back to the WB Kingswood...which was not a Commodore. Sorry.
![]() 10/04/2018 at 07:31 |

Pretty sure I already have this:
Both are ultimately based off the original K-chassis.
![]() 10/04/2018 at 09:48 |

There's nothing in the rules saying I can't do that.

I wouldn’t mine that at all. as long as one or both were manual. My first car was a 92 Camry. It was a fine car. nothing to brag about but for an 1800 dollar car it did it’s job remarkably well.
![]() 10/04/2018 at 11:19 |
|
Did I violate the rules?
Here’s the deal. I love the TT. I had one. I will have one again. Mine was a coupe. I want a drop top. Gotta show the world how good my hair looks, ya know?
And the Atlas, well, it’s a giant generic crossover. But it somehow defies physics. I can’t believe how huge it was when I tossed myself in it at the dealer . It’s like a portal to another world. I feel the opposite with our Tahoe. Giant on the outside. Tiny on the inside.

I see what you’re saying but

I should start saving up for when Evo wagons hit the 25 year mark. 2030 is still 12 years away that gives me approximately 4400 days to save up. If i stash away 5 dollars a day I’ll have 22,000 dollars. so i’ll only be 20,000 short of what will probably be the going rate (adjusted for another 12 years of inflation.)
![]() 10/04/2018 at 11:26 |

Yeah. Just re-read the note on platform not good enough. Hmmmm...
Audi S5 Cabriolet
Audi A4 allroad
I’m a VAG homer.

Some of the Evo 8s are trading around the $15k to $20k mark. But at that point watch it be $100k for an early 2000s mitsubishi.
![]() 10/04/2018 at 11:41 |
|
That’ s a good point right now is probably the time to buy an Evo. They’ve plateaud for a long time staying in the 18-22 range, but watch in 5 years an unmodified one will be 30k or more.

Urus and RS5. Both are on the MLBevo Chassis according to the Wikipedias

Calling them the same car is a very long stretch when they only shared the firewall and everything forward of that. I appreciate your choices and all but they weren’t the same car...
Now if you’d picked a VY or VZ wagon and the equivalent Adventra wagon or even the Crewman or Crewman Cross6/Cross8 ute then I wouldn’t have quibbled ...

I read the rules, I found two vehicles that fit th e given rules, I presented them. Sorry if they don't conform to what you wanted the game to be, I guess?
